Skill Class Sign-ups

As Camp is fast approaching there are a lot of things to remember. We'll start with an easy one. Skill Classes. By this point you've already received our parent guidebook with a few forms that need to be filled out and sent back to Camp. One of those forms, the skill class preferences, can be filled out online using the same ID and Password you used to register your camper for Camp. If you have any trouble doing so, give me a call. I'd love to help!

If you had to pick...

Now...I'm not saying we might actually land some of these animals for the summer. But, hypothetically, if we were...which ones would you pick?

Special Events Training

If nothing else, our staff at Camp are dedicated to being as prepared as possible for the summer. This includes several extensive and quite gruesome trainings. Above you see several of our key staff members practicing for evening programs this summer by trying their hand at "Rock Band." Let me say this...they have a long way to go!

Lions, Tigers, Goats, and Pigs?!?!

For those of you who have not been by Camp in a little while, we've cleared and leveled an area for will eventually become Chingachgook Enviromental/Educational Farm. We're hoping to kickoff this great program area in time for the summer and besides possibly seeing a cute pig or goat, there will be some farm crops for you to check out.

Which farm products will you see? Well, we are not going to be milking the goats or cooking up the pigs. You'll have to guess a little bit before I just throw the answer towards you. Ok, here's a clue. It's does not come from an animal!

Chingachgook Camper Travels the World!

We have a world traveler amonst the Chingachgook Alumni! Benny Binyamin (and his father) recently traveled to Israel and took this fine photo in a Chingachgook shirt. I can't wait to see Benny this summer and quiz him on his trip.

Are you interested in getting your photo up on the blog? If so, next time you travel somewhere, climb a mountain, take a photo with a Chingachgook shirt on and send the picture to me! Way to go Benny on seeing the world.

Camp Reunion and Kickoff 2009

Wow! Over 100 people showed up to Camp today to get a tour of Camp. Many of those folks were not yet signed up for Camp and they not only enjoyed the beautiful weather, but got the opportunity to shoot some arrows, climb the climbing tower, play softball, go hiking, and catch a wicked slideshow! Make sure to check out YouTube where the video that was shown at the end of the kickoff event will be posted.
Today was such a great deal of fun seeing a bunch of summer staff come by that I wish there were less then 56 days until session one starts. I'm sure the time will pass quickly. Thanks to everyone who ventured up to Camp and had a great time :)
